What is Celebrate Recovery?
Celebrate Recovery is a safe place to address destructive or compulsive behaviors, unhealthy relationships, addictions (drugs, alcohol, food, pornography), anger, shame, codependency (addiction to people and control), trauma, past abuse and so much more. People can find freedom from any hurt, hang-up or habit that is making their life unmanageable. Through step-by-step guidance, accountability, and encouragement, participants grow in their faith while breaking free from the struggles that hold them back.
What Happens At Celebrate Recovery?
There are 2 main components that make up the Celebrate Recovery Program:
LARGE GROUP
This is where everyone meets together to worship, hear either a recovery-centered teaching or a personal Testimony of a changed life, and to celebrate their recovery. We consider this a “shoulder to shoulder” experience.
OPEN SHARE GROUPS
This is the time we break into separate gender or issue-specific groups where each participant is safe to share their struggles and victories with others who share their similar hurts, hang-ups and habits. We consider this a “face to face” experience.
Celebrate Recovery FAQs
Is Celebrate Recovery only for addiction?
No. Celebrate Recovery is for anyone struggling with hurts, habits, or hang-ups—including anxiety, anger, grief, codependency, addiction, shame, control, and more.
Do I have to be a church member to come?
No, you don’t need to be a CCAG member to attend. Celebrate Recovery is a ministry for anyone who is interested in a Christ-centered recovery program that will enable them to grow and heal.
Do I have to share?
Not until you are ready. Many people feel nervous their first time. You are welcome to simply listen and observe until you feel comfortable. You can pass any time you wish and for as long as it takes. You are in total control of when and how much you participate.
Is there a cost to attend?
No. Celebrate Recovery is free to attend.
What about confidentiality?
We are diligent about confidentiality and anonymity. The structure and guidelines of the program protect all of us from judgment and being “fixed” by others. This promotes an atmosphere of trust, facilitates growth, and enables recovery. What you hear and who you see at CR stays there.
How do I begin?
Just show up! No registration required.
